Eckoh announces updates to ChatGuard, adding 3D Secure, digital wallets, and PII protection, enhancing secure payments and customer verification within chat.
- Significant enhancements now incorporated into Eckoh’s unique ChatGuard solution
- Reflects client demand for wider payment choice, robust security and greater customer convenience
- Organizations can also request, verify, and secure non-payment personal data
Aug 2024: Eckoh plc (AIM: ECK), the global provider of Customer Engagement Data Security Solutions, has enhanced its popular ChatGuard solution by enabling 3D Secure, digital wallet payments, and PII security inside its unique secure chat window.
ChatGuard already lets customers pay seamlessly and securely by card inside the chat window, without the inconvenience of being redirected to another channel to make the payment. Eckoh’s PCI DSS 4.0 compliant technology ensures that sensitive details cannot be seen by agents and no sensitive data enters the client’s IT or contact center infrastructure.
Now organizations can add 3D Secure (3DS) if they want extra authentication, and customers will also have the option to pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or other digital payment methods within the chat conversation – whether it’s with a human agent or chatbot.
Many organizations only use their chat channel as an assistance tool, but with ChatGuard it instantly becomes an effective sales channel too. ChatGuard is compatible with all the market-leading chat applications and this upgrade supports Eckoh’s goal to protect all engagement channels while keeping pace with the consumer’s desire for greater convenience with robust security.
ChatGuard also now benefits from another versatile feature – dynamic, customizable forms. During chat sessions, customers can be asked to enter other Personally Identifiable Information (‘PII’) for verification without this being seen by agents. This can include social security numbers, healthcare IDs, passwords, or other types of sensitive data useful for authentication or delivering a more personalized and meaningful customer experience.
