Eckoh Granted Patent for CallGuard Payments Technology

Effective from the 11th June 2014, Eckoh has been granted patent (No. 2478916) for the transaction security method and system that underpins its innovative CallGuard product.

The patent was filed in 2010 by Veritape, a leading secure payment solutions company acquired by Eckoh in June 2013. Both Eckoh and Veritape have specialized in developing card payment solutions to assist companies in making 'card-not-present' transactions more secure, particularly those made over the phone through a contact center.

CallGuard, installed on customers' sites, has proven its success in the market with deployments across the globe. Many companies such as outsourced contact center providers have adopted the simple plug-and-play solution that prevents sensitive customer cardholder data from reaching call recordings and contact center agents.

Once CallGuard is installed, businesses benefit immediately from the ability to take secure payments from their customers over the phone. CallGuard eliminates the risk of fraud, and helps companies meet the PCI DSS compliance standards.
